She was visiting faculty & delivered presentation on Indian Regulatory frame work (Banking) in the IFMR and presentation made before Institute of Chartered accountants & ICS ,Kolkata on various aspect of the Arbitration &Conciliation Act,1996 & its applicability.

Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy FNAE , M.Tech ( Structures) from IIT, Kharagpur & Ph.D. He has over 50 years of wide experience in providing engineering design consultancy services in India & abroad in the transport infrastructure sector such as Bridges, Roads , highways, flyovers, Railways and Metro Rail, Industrial, Residential & commercial & sports facility projects. Few of the important projects are Design of First metro Rail in India under river Hugly in Kolkata, Second Vivekananda Toll way Bridge- a single plane of stay cables with harp pattern supported on short pylons and extradosed, Bombay-Vadodara expressway including all briges, grade separators across VasainCreek, Vaitrama, Narmada & Tapi river. He has provided consultancy services to many Metro Rail projects like, Delhi Metro, Kolkata metro, Mumbai metro, Banglore metro, Chennai metro and many more,. He is the fellow of Major institutions world wide such fellow of Institution of Structural Engineers (UK), Indian National Academy of Engineers( INAE) & Fellow, International Association for Bridge & Structural Engineering (IABSE) and many others. Dr Roy is also on the Board of Directors of Roy Urbatronics Planning and Designing India Private Limited.

V.K. Phatak

Expert Urban Planner

V.K. Phatak has been engaged in public service, consulting and academics related to urban planning for the last 56 years. During 1976 to 2004 in MMRDA he contributed to the World Bank funded Bombay Urban Development Project, led a team in preparation of Regional Plan 1996-2011 and helped reposition Bandra Kurla Complex as the new finance and banking district of Mumbai.

He was a member of the Planning Commission Task Force on Urban Development (1983) and a member of the National Commission on Urbanization (1988). He also served as a part time director of the National Housing Bank (2006-12). His consulting assignments involved work with the World Bank and leading management and planning consultants in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Punjab, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Agartala and Dhaka. In 2013, he authored a report on ‘Land Based Fiscal Tools’ for the Ministry of Urban Development.

During 2016 to 2019 he was Dean of Faculty of Planning in the CEPT University, Ahmedabad, where he attempted to restructure the academic programs to respond to the emerging needs of the profession.

Mr Chandra B.Tech (Civil) from IIT Delhi and fellow of institution of Engineers ( India) has experience of over 35 years in planning, project management and execution of infrastructure projects including Elevated & Underground Metro Rail Projects, Industrial , Housing and Public buildings including corporate office complex. He was the lead of many multi-desplinary projects comprising of Civil , Structural and MEP, fire protection system in the project execution. He was instrumental in Handling the contract matters of projects. He was the project head having responsibility of review of design & drawings, monitoring of Contractors resources planning, progress monitoring, Quality assurance & Quality control and Project evaluation, Cash flow monitoring & recommendation of Payments to contractors. He has experience of working in Public sector & private sector as well. His few projects are Delhi Metro Under ground corridor from Mandi House to Jama Masjid Station, Chennai Metro Rail project-Phase-II, IOC Corporate office complex at Sadiq Nagar, New Delhi, National centre for medium Range Weather forecasting Centre at Noida, ASI Corporate Office at New Delhi, NALCO Township at Angul-Orissa and many more.

Mr Mishra M.Tech ( Structures) has over 30 years experience in design, construction ,maintenance of infrastructure projects. He has wide range of experience in India and abroad . He has wide experience include design of railways, Metro Rail projects, tunnel lining, flyovers & bridges etc. His some of the projects are such as DPR for 980 m 4 lane tunnel in unstable Himalayan rock mass design built contract for DG Border Road,design of heavy haul DFCC corridor project-3 ( Sahnewal-Pilkhani Section, Checking of preliminary design and final design of Hyderabad Metro Rail, design of road over rail bridge and road under rail bridge for MMRDA and MSRDC, Thane & Pune corporation. He has work experience abroad as structural designer for Oman National Railway, Haramain High Speed Rail link, at Saudi Arabia,Amman ring road in Jordan etc.
